Refund and Returns Policy

At AMKWESOWA’Q KISITU’TITL (First People’s Creations), we take great pride in the quality and authenticity of our Mi’kmaw-made products. If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help.

In-Store Purchases

Returns & Exchanges:

• Items may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase.

• Items must be unused, in original packaging, and accompanied by the original receipt.

• Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment.

• Items without a receipt may be eligible for exchange or store credit at the discretion of management.

Non-Returnable Items:

• Clearance or final sale items

• Custom, made-to-order, or personalized goods

• Perishable or consumable items (e.g., food or personal care)

• Gift cards

Damaged or Defective Items:

If your item is damaged or defective, please bring it in with the receipt within 14 days. We will offer a refund, replacement, or exchange depending on the item and availability.

Online Purchases

Returns by Mail:

• Please contact us within 14 days of receiving your item at giftshop@waycobah.ca to request a return authorization.

• Items must be returned in new, unused condition with original tags and packaging.

• Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, unless the item is defective or incorrect.

Refund Process:

Once your item is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, a refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.

Special Notes

• We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet our return criteria.

• Returns or exchanges due to dissatisfaction with natural variations in handmade or artisan items will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
